Roast Chicken With Lemon Gravy
Roast chicken remains one of our favourite dishes at home. I recently discovered a way to make the chicken taste even better, by putting a lemon in. The benefits of the lemon going into the chicken are very obvious as the meat tastes great.
Ingredients
- lime juice - fresh, 2 cups
- honey - 3 tablespoons
- olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- chicken drumstick - 4 large
- avocados - 2, halved, pitted, peeled
- shallot - 1/4 cup, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Place a slice of lemon on the chicken.
- Scatter the garlic around.
- Roast the chicken in a preheated oven at 220C for 30 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature to 170C and continuing roasting for another 40 minutes or till thoroughly cooked.
